Stewart Family Law comprises a close-working team of four lawyers, four paralegals and an office manager.

The capable and confident team have worked together for a number of years and are able to provide clients and other lawyers with an efficient and effective service. The team works hard to solve client problems and not over-complicate matters.

Judy Stewart

Legal Practitioner Director, Accredited Family Law Specialist

Judy is a highly regarded Accredited Family Law Specialist, with an excellent understanding of interpersonal and family dynamics after her previous career in social work.

Judy has practised exclusively in Family Law since 2003, and uses the insights she has gained over the years to help her clients work through the challenges of family law matters. She is well-versed in the impacts that abusive and toxic behaviours place on relationships, and uses her knowledge in these areas to assist individuals and families in resolving high-conflict, difficult and sensitive matters. 

Since 2017, Judy has been recommended as a Leading Family and Divorce Lawyer on Doyle’s annual list of recommended lawyers. Judy is a nationally accredited mediator and registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She is acknowledged as a recommended Leading Family Law Mediator on Doyle’s list.

Well-known for her pragmatic, organised and responsive approach, Judy combines her careers in both social work and law to provide clients with efficient and effective solutions to their Family Law problems.

A mediator and a collaborative law practitioner, Judy is known for taking a conciliatory approach to resolving disputes, actively discouraging hostility or conflict from clients.

Judy Stewart

Temika Slee

Associate Director, Accredited Family Law Specialist

With a double degree in law and journalism, Temika chose to specialise in Family Law because of the personal connection she makes with clients. Temika has practised exclusively in family law since 2012 and is an Accredited Family Law Specialist, Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Parenting Coordinator.

Working closely with clients on such personal and important issues, Temika says she loves the opportunity to help clients with “something that is so close to their hearts”. She loves talking to clients, hearing their story and their experiences, and then working with them to resolve their issues.

Taking a conciliatory approach, Temika is known for her organised and responsive approach to resolving client issues.

Temika’s most rewarding client experience has been helping grandparents get the orders they sought in relation to their grandchildren living with them after their daughter had passed away – they were so very grateful and appreciative of everything she had done.

Lauren Holm

Senior Associate

With a double degree in law and justice, Lauren has practised predominantly in family law since her admission in 2013.  Lauren has also worked in London where she gained experience in child protection; insurance and commercial litigation at two magic circle firms and high value taxation litigation where she acted on behalf of HMRC. She is completing her Masters of Law.

Lauren enjoys the opportunity to assist clients on a practical level and in particular the opportunity to assist clients resolve their matter without the need for court proceedings.  As a nationally accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Lauren has a particular interest in resolving matters without the need for litigation.  Lauren’s varied background and experience enables her to be empathetic towards her clients while providing practical pragmatic guidance and advice.

Lauren understands the emotional toll family law and domestic violence matters can take and is passionate about supporting client’s through by providing practical, efficient advice.  Lauren is dedicated to providing practical advice and achieving the best bigger picture result for the client.

Nicole Miller

Solicitor

Nicole has a double degree in law and behavioural science, specialising in child psychology. She was admitted into the legal profession in 2006. With over 20 years’ experience working in law firms, Nicole has specialised in Family Law.

Nicole maintains a collaborative and outcome-focused approach to family law matters to resolve disputes in an efficient and client-centred manner. Her goal is to assist families to move forward at this stage of their lives in a safe and stable manner. Family Law matters are very emotional. Nicole prides herself on her ability to build rapport with her clients, and to identify and focus on their key goals, whilst guiding them through the separation process towards resolution.

Siobhan Huntley

Solicitor

Siobhan has a Bachelor of Laws (Second Class Honours – Division A) and a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice from Griffith University. Siobhan was admitted into the legal profession as a solicitor in 2025. 

Siobhan has worked at Stewart Family Law since 2023 and is very knowledgeable about our processes. Siobhan offers a complimentary 15-minute discovery call exclusively for new clients.

Office Manager

Joanne is an experienced office manager.

Her organisational skills and efficiency ensure processes and procedures are prompt and professional.

Joanne has previous administration experience in family law where she worked with Judy Stewart and now manages the office and the staff at Stewart Family Law.

Joanne’s qualifications include a Certificate IV in Business Administration.

Kaylee Neil

Managing Paralegal

Kaylee is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at the Queensland University of Technology. Kaylee has worked at Stewart Family Law since 2022. 

Alongside her studies, Kaylee has volunteer experience with Young Australians in International Affairs and the Australian Pro Bono Centre. She is an alumni of the Global Voices and YMCA Queensland Youth Parliament programs. She has participated in a number of programs with UN Youth Australia, including an international delegation to America.

Sarah Stevens

Paralegal

Sarah is a highly experienced legal secretary who has worked predominately in family law since 2017. Her strong organisational skills and attention to detail ensure clients and solicitors are supported efficiently and professionally.

Viv Withanage

Paralegal 

Viv is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Queensland.

Viv is a member of UQ Law Society and previously competed in the UQ Junior Moot. In addition to her studies, Viv has attended various events hosted by UQ Law School. With her background in customer service and administration, Viv will ensure your first contact with Stewart Family Law is a pleasant experience.
