Stewart Family Law comprises a close-working team of four lawyers, two paralegals and two administrative support staff.

The capable and confident team have worked together for a number of years and are able to provide clients and other lawyers with an efficient and effective service. The team works hard to solve client problems and not over-complicate matters.

Judy Stewart

Legal Practitioner Director, Accredited Family Law Specialist

Judy is an Accredited Family Law Specialist. After an earlier career in social work, Judy has practised exclusively in Family Law since 2003.

Since 2017 Judy has been recommended as a Leading Family and Divorce Lawyer on the Doyle’s annual list of recommended lawyers. Judy is a nationally accredited mediator and registered family dispute resolution practitioner. She is acknowledged as a recommended Leading Family Law Mediator on the Doyle’s list.

Well-known for her pragmatic, organised and responsive approach, Judy combines her careers in both social work and law to provide clients with efficient and effective solutions to their Family Law problems.

A mediator and a collaborative law practitioner, Judy is known for taking a conciliatory approach to resolving disputes and actively discourages hostility or conflict from clients.

Temika Slee

Associate Director, Accredited Family Law Specialist

With a double degree in law and journalism, Temika chose to specialise in Family Law because of the personal connection she makes with clients. Temika has practised exclusively in family law since 2012 and is an Accredited Family Law Specialist, Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and Parenting Coordinator.

Working closely with clients on such personal and important issues, Temika says she loves the opportunity to help clients with “something that is so close to their hearts”. She loves talking to clients, hearing their story and their experiences, and then working with them to resolve their issues.

Taking a conciliatory approach, Temika is known for her organised and responsive approach to resolving client issues.

Temika’s most rewarding client experience has been helping grandparents get the orders they sought in relation to their grandchildren living with them after their daughter had passed away – they were so very grateful and appreciative of everything she had done.

Joanne Taylor

Office Manager

Joanne is an experienced office manager.

Her organisational skills and efficiency ensure processes and procedures are prompt and professional.

Joanne has previous administration experience in family law where she worked with Judy Stewart and now manages the office and the staff at Stewart Family Law.

Joanne’s qualifications include the following:

Sierra Frost

Graduate Lawyer

Sierra joined Stewart Family Law in January 2018. She has previous experience in criminal and commercial law, which has equipped her with the necessary experience to assist you with your Family Law matter.

Sierra is pragmatic and efficient and loves assisting our clients wherever possible. She understands that Family Law matters can be emotional and she is always friendly and approachable, ready to assist you with any enquiries you may have.

Sierra completed her Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Fine Arts with distinction at Queensland University of Technology in July 2022. She was admitted to the legal practice in June 2023 after completing a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.

Kaylee Neil

Paralegal

Kaylee is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at the Queensland University of Technology.

Alongside her studies, Kaylee is undertaking a policy fellowship with Global Voices as the Menzies Foundation Scholar for the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Kaylee has volunteer experience with Young Australians in International Affairs and the Australian Pro Bono Centre (APBC). She is an alumni of the YMCA’s Queensland Youth Parliament program and has participated in a number of programs with UN Youth Australia, including an international delegation to America.

With her passion for Family Law and her background in customer service, Kaylee uses her skills and expertise to provide clients with administrative assistance.

Siobhan Huntley

Administrative Assistant

Siobhan is currently studying a dual degree of Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Griffith University.

Outside of studying, Siobhan is a 2023 Social Convenor for the Griffith University Law Society, where she creates beneficial experiences for fellow law students.

With her background in customer service and administration, Siobhan will ensure your first contact with Stewart Family Law is a pleasant experience.
